This course is for Shadow Teachers, aspiring professionals, and parents who may wish to attend themselves. The course will be available across the new academic year. School can host these workshops for in-house training.

Shadow Teacher Coaching and Development
6 week program (280BH)
This exceptional program empowers Shadow Teachers to deliver high quality and personalised practice which truly matches your child's needs.
The Shadow Teacher Coaching and Development Program involves personalised coaching, consultations, and online learning modules - all led by Dr Frances. There is a focus on supporting Shadow Teachers to make changes and develop their practice themselves.

Online parent consultation
30min online parent consultation -
First I want to hear from parents and find out about the support they are receiving from the shadow teacher and what parents would like to see develop

Online learning -
modules 1 and 2
Online videos and worksheets -
The Shadow Teacher will complete modules Adaptive Teaching and Emotional Regulation by watching the videos and completing the worksheets which help them reflect on their practice and their child's support needs

Online learning -
modules 3 and 4
The Shadow Teacher will complete modules Emotional Skills for Learning and Being Included by watching the videos and completing the worksheets which help them reflect on their practice and their child's support needs

Observation and coaching session
90min in school observation and coaching session - Meeting with the Shadow Teacher and reflecting with them on their practice. A supportive observation will help decide the focus of the changes

Class Teacher consultation and coaching session
1hr collaborative meeting with the Class Teacher and Shadow Teacher, and 30min Shadow Teacher coaching - By reflecting with the Class Teacher and the Shadow Teacher we can agree better ways of working together

Final observation and coaching session
90min in school observation and coaching session - Reflecting on the skills that the Shadow Teacher has been working on and evaluating the improvement for the child. A new focus for development will be agreed and shared
